Back in December last year we announced that 2D Boy’s World of Goo had made its way onto the Apple App Store, but at that stage it was only available for the Apple iPad. However, we’ve now received word that the game is also heading to the iPhone at some stage.
According to the 2dboy.com website, the developer has recently submitted the iPhone version of its popular physics-based puzzle game to the Apple App Store, and is now waiting for its approval. That of course means that we should be seeing its arrival pretty soon.
The developer also noted that they have changed the pricing on the iPhone version compared to the original pricing of the iPad-only application. The upcoming iPhone app will be priced up at $2.99 in the United States, although it will be discounted for the first 24 hours after release.
During this time, people will be able to download the game for just $0.99. The developer also mentioned that they will be changing the iPad-only HD version into a universal app, meaning that anyone who already has the iPad version will essentially be receiving the iPhone version for free.
Do you already own the iPad version of the World of Goo game? If not, will you be downloading it for your iPhone?
