It looks like May is definitely going to be a really good month for all you Kung Fu Panda fans out there. Not only do you have the release of the much-awaited Kung Fu Panda 2 movie to look forward to, but you’ve now got the arrival of the Kung Fu Panda 2 video game as well.
As James Orry over on the videogamer.com website recently reported, THQ has just announced that it will be releasing the Kung Fu Panda 2 game – which will be available for the PlayStation 3, Nintendo DS, Xbox 360 Kinect and the uDraw GameTablet for Nintendo Wii – on May 24th in North America.
The UK release date is presumably May 27th. The Kung Fu Panda 2 video game starts where the movie leaves off, with Po the Panda and the Furious Five venturing out to save kung fu from an evil threat. Using the Kinect device, Po trains gamers for impending battles by teaching them key kung fu moves.
Players will then transform into the movie’s main character, as they duck, dodge, punch, kick and block without the need for a controller. As for the uDraw GameTablet, gamers will control Po by using their stylus. There is also a drawing mode, which will enable players to color numerous pieces of character art.
