Back in February we provided our readers with a UK price and release date for the much-anticipated HTC Desire S handset. We now have more news for those of you that live in the UK, as the Android run smartphone is now available to pre-order from Vodafone UK.
According to Ionut Arghire over on the softpedia.com website, the HTC Desire S – which was revealed during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona back in February – will be available from Vodafone UK for free on a monthly price plan, starting from £30 per month.
However, you can also purchase the handset on a lower monthly contract of £25 per month, although this plan does require you to fork out £99 up front. The HTC Desire S is powered by a 1GHz processor, runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS and features a slim and stylish design.
The upcoming smartphone also features a 3.7-inch touch screen display, a 5-megapixel camera with HD video capturing capabilities, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video conversations, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, 1.1GB internal memory and a microSD memory card slot.
The microSD memory card slot gives support for up to 32GB of extra storage. Have you been thinking about picking up the HTC Desire S smartphone?
