Grim Dawn: Upcoming Action-RPG Gets Detailed

By Updated on

We have some rather interesting news now for all you action-RPG fans out there, as Crate Entertainment has just revealed a few details for its upcoming Grim Dawn game. The Grim Dawn title will use the same engine as the Titan Quest game, but with a number of modifications for a more updated feel.

According to a recent article by Sloopypugs over at theparanoidgamer.com, the Grim Dawn game puts players in the world of Cairn, where a war has brought 2 conflicting otherworldly forces together: one force uses human bodies as a source of power, while the other force wants to destroy all humans.

A few surviving humans discover new abilities, and decide to use the new powers to their advantage. If you love games with destructible environments, you’re most likely going to love the Grim Dawn game. What’s more exciting is the fact that the wrecked furniture and collapsed stonework can also be used in combat.

The game also features plenty of gore (although this can be disabled via the options menu if need be), meaningful NPC interaction, which enables gamers to make relationships with certain factions and a blueprint collection that allows the player to combine salvaged components together to make uniquely crafted items.

Although we haven’t got an official release date as of yet, Crate Entertainment hope to get the game out sometime in 2011. We’ve embedded a video below so you can see the game for yourself. Are you a fan of action-RPGs?
