If you own an iOS device and you’re familiar with the Internet-based travel reservation website Expedia.com, I think we have news that could well be of interest to you. The company has just revealed that it is releasing a free hotel booking application for iOS devices called Expedia Hotels.
As recently noted by Katie Deatsch over on the internetretailer.com website, the Expedia Hotels app will not only enable travelers to research hotels worldwide by providing them with access to the company’s selection of hotels, but it will also allow them to book their hotel stays in just four taps.
The Expedia Hotels app – which accepts payment in 20 different currencies – will utilize the GPS functionality in the user’s iPhone to show them hotels nearby. The app also offers users the ability to sort the hotels by popularity, rating, price or even distance from their current location.
Users will even be able to view image slideshows for each hotel listed, as well as reviews and ratings from the company’s popular TripAdvisor website. Once a hotel is booked via the app, users will be able to get directions, add the reservation to their iphone calendar and even share the booking confirmation via email.
Expedia.com hopes to have the Expedia Hotels app in the Apple App Store within the next couple of weeks. Will you be downloading this app?
