Acer Iconia-6120 Dual-Screen Touchbook: Price and Release Date
By: Tina Chubb | March 29, 2011 | Leave a CommentBack in December of last year we brought you a few details for Acer’s much-anticipated dual-screen Iconia device. All we provided our readers with at the time was a few of the specs and a hands-on video, as information on a price and release date was unfortunately not available at that stage.
However, we can now tell you that both the price and release date information has now been made available. In fact, according to a recent article by Darren Murph over at engadget.com, the Acer Iconia-6120 Dual-Screen Touchbook is now available to pre-order in the US and Canada.
The Acer Iconia-6120 Touchbook – which has an MSRP of $1,199.99 – will be available to buy sometime in April from authorized resellers in Canada, and leading retailers in the United States. The Iconia-6120 has some pretty impressive specs including the two 14-inch Gorilla Glass touch screen displays.
Users are able to customize what is displayed on each screen as well, enabling them to perhaps watch a video on the top screen and browse through their multimedia library on the bottom screen. They even have the ability to view a single web page across the two screens if they wanted to.
Just as a quick reminder, the dual-screen device is powered by an Intel Core i5 processor, runs on Windows 7 Home Premium, weighs in at 5.95 pounds and features 4GB memory, a 640GB hard drive, a HDMI output, a 1.3 megapixel camera, USB 3.0 support and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n.
