Big Blue Bubble’s popular puzzle game Burn the Rope has been available to iOS users for quite some time now, and has even received an update since it was first released. Now it appears that the developer has decided it’s time to bring out an iPad-only version of the hit game.
As Dusan over at intomobile.com recently reported, the new HD version not only takes advantage of the Apple tablet’s larger screen, but it also features brighter fire and a new touch control scheme that enables players to rotate the puzzle on the tablet’s display.
The gameplay remains the same as the iPhone and iPod Touch version, tasking players with burning as much rope as they possibly can to complete each level. However, the fire only burs upwards, so players must rotate the puzzle on the screen in order to keep the flame burning.
Once all the flames go out, the game is unfortunately over. Players will also encounter a number of bugs along the way, which all have different reactions to the fire and can either help your efforts or stop you from moving on to the next level completely.
The Burn the Rope HD game features a total of 116 levels, as well as bonus bug-blasting rounds. Big Blue Bubble promises that it will be updating the game with brand new levels in the weeks and months to come. Do you own an Apple iPad? If you have, will you be downloading this app?
