We have already had news that both Australia and Canada will be getting the iPad 2 on Friday as originally planned. This is a trend which is thankfully continuing as Apple has recently confirmed the UK iPad 2 prices.
For those of you who will be trying to get yourself an iPad 2, online orders begin at 1 a.m. on Friday morning according to an article on TechRadar by Kate Solomon. Apple stores will begin selling the device from 5 p.m., but expect long queues as there is likely to be high demand.
The cheapest version is the 16GB Wi-Fi only model which will cost you £399. With the 32GB Wi-Fi model jumps up to £479, while £559 gets you the 64GB. If you want 3G added to your iPad 2, prices start at £499 for the 16GB, and the 32GB comes in at £579. If you really need the 64GB version with 3G this will cost you a cool £659.
This pricing brings the new iPad in at £40 below the launch price of the original device. Meanwhile CEO Steve Job’s has released a statement stating its competitors are still trying to catch up with the original device. He also says that the demand for the iPad 2 has been “amazing”, and they are working hard to make enough units for everyone.
