As many of you will be aware, the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton is due to take place on the April 29th, 2011 and global communications corporation Alcatel has decided to mark the occasion, by unveiling the special edition Royal Wedding-themed mobile phone.

According to a recent techradar.com article by Kate Solomon, the Alcatel One Touch candybar handset – which will be available at both Best Buy and Carphone Warehouse – has a Union Jack emblazoned on the front, while the rear of the device features calligraphic rendering of their initials and wedding date.

The Royal Wedding theme doesn’t stop at just the front and rear design either, as the handset also comes with Mendelssohn’s “Wedding March” as its ringtone and a beautiful photgraph of the future King of England and his bride set as the wallpaper.

Mark Eastham – the commercial director for Best Buy and Carphone Warehouse – said that they are delighted to be able to offer the fun, limited edition Royal Wedding phone to their customers. The phone will be available from both stores on Pay-as-you-Go, for just £15.
