There is no doubting the popularity of the Apple devices especially with the release of the iPad 2 seeing the tablet’s stocks run dry within hours. Will we be seeing further shipping delays due to other problems such as the recent tragedy in Japan and the deceleration of manufacturing at Foxconn, manufacturer of Apple devices?
According to an article by Katie Marsal at AppleInsider two of Apple’s main suppliers of components in the devastated area have shut down creating shortages that will affect the rest of the month and could continue to do so for the next couple of months. This may also affect a potential release of the iPhone 5 device that is expected around June/July time.
This added with the slowing production rate of Apple’s partner in manufacture Foxconn could mean stock disaster for future Apple products. The company is reported to have decelerated growth from 84% to 37%.
