Have you ever wondered what it would be like to try out the obstacle course that’s featured in ABC’s popular television series Wipeout? Well now it looks like you will get the opportunity to, and you won’t even have to leave the comfort of your own living room to do so!!
According to a recent article by Matthew Reynolds over at digitalspy.co.uk, it’s just been revealed that Activision will be releasing a new game called Wipeout in the Zone, which will of course be based on the hit TV show. The game will be available for the Xbox 360, and will have support for the Kinect.
The Wipeout in the Zone game will feature over 30 different obstacles that players have to avoid, including the infamous Smack Wall Sweeper and Big Balls. Gamers will have the choice of playing the obstacles over one continuous course, or just as individual events.
Wipeout in the Zone will also feature commentary from the show’s presenters John Henson and John Anderson, as well as the co-host Jill Wagner. Activision’ David Oxford said the TV show is all about well-timed balance and absurd movements, and that’s why Wipeout in the Zone is a perfect for the Kinect.
Although at this stage we have not got a specific release date, we do know that the game will be arriving in the summer in order to coincide with Wipeout’s brand new season. Have you got the Kinect? If you have, do you like the idea of playing the Wipeout game?
