iPhone 5 Release, Question Considerations

By Tina Chubb - Mar 16, 2011

The iPhone 5 appears to be quite a popular topic of conversation in the tech world at the moment, with many questions being asked about the much-anticipated handset. These of course include questions regarding the iPhone 5’s release, features and overall design.

Dan Frommer from the businessinsider.com website has recently compiled a list of the top ten questions that are currently being asked about Apple’s next iPhone. The first question is related to iOS 5, and what exactly the company has planned for the next version.

When asking several iOS developers what they wanted from iOS 5, they included things such as more background processing features and a better notifications and alerts system. Another question being asked is whether or not we are going to see a whole new design for the iPhone 5.

If previous reports were anything to go by, then the answer to that question would be yes. As Chris Maugham noted in one of our previous articles, there have been rumors suggesting that the iPhone 5 would feature an aluminum chassis, with a resin Apple logo on the rear that houses the antenna.

Another interesting question is whether or not the iPhone 5 would feature Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. That unfortunately doesn’t appear to be one of the added features on the iPhone 5, as recent reports claimed that it would be left out this year.

Other questions included in the list are whether the iPhone 5 would be smaller or bigger than the iPhone 4 and will it have an innovative case like the recently revealed Smart Cover for the Apple iPad 2. What are you hoping for in the next Apple iPhone?
