Samsung Robotic Vacuum Allows ‘TangoView’ Remote Controlled Surveillance with iPad

When it comes to inventing devices which feature technology that they don’t necessarily need, the invention in this piece of news has got to be up there. That’s not to say that were not impressed with Samsung’s robotic vacuum ‘Tango Cleaner.’

The remote controlled robot comes equipped with a video camera which allows for remote controlled surveillance which the manufacturer is calling ‘TangoView.’

Although this feature may seem like it’s just been included because they can, we can see how being able to see what the machine sees can be useful. Now you really can do your spring cleaning from the comfort of your sofa.

This vacuum cleaner marks a milestone where the limits off convergence are being tested. The Tango Cleaner is controlled via Wi-Fi by either your iPad or other tablets, smartphones and your PC. It produces minimal noise has an external light, works at 48dB and even has an integrated microphone.

    I know screen images are simulated, but you'd think the photographer (or whoever would be in charge in the end) would say something about how the mom is totally looking straight at the vacuum yet on the screen she's looking off to the side. Details, people!
