We have some good news for those of you with a Motorola Xoom tablet, as we can confirm that Motorola has now started to roll out software updates to devices which will prepare them for the highly anticipated Adobe Flash 10.2 Player update.
The Flash Player isn’t available yet though, as we can tell you that Adobe will be releasing it on March 18th, as reported from MaximumPC. Considering that the Xoom launched without any flash support, Motorola has had to roll out updates to make sure the hardware is compatible with the upcoming flash update.
You should have already had the notification to update your Xoom device, but don’t worry if you haven’t since rollouts can often take a while to reach everyone. The new flash 10.2 player will bring new features such as hardware accelerated H.264 video, faster performance and support for multi-core processors which we’re now starting to see frequently on devices in the market.
Are you looking forward to getting Flash on your Xoom tablet? How have you coped without it so far, since it was a pretty major blow for some owners when Motorola decided not to ship the device with flash. Better late than never though we say.
