White iPhone 4: Apple Tweet’s Release Date ETA – Hints on White iPhone 5?

By Updated on

This is the news that you’ve all been waiting for, as it has been finally confirmed that the White iPhone 4 will definitely be releasing within the next few months, as a surprise Tweet by Apple’s senior VP of worldwide product marketing gave the green light on the elusive device.

This is the first time that we’ve had any sort of official confirmation on the status of the White iPhone 4 from Apple, and who would have thought that it would come in the form of a Tweet by a senior member of Apple’s team.

Here is the reply that Phil Schiller gave to a user when quizzed about when the White iPhone 4 would be available, as reported from Engadget.

”@airickanderson Hi Eric. The white iPhone will be available this spring (and it is a beauty!)”

It also means that the White iPhone 4 will be out before WWDC 2011 kicks off in June, but there is also a good chance that Apple are planning to release their iPhone 5 in White as well – without any delays this time.

In terms of confirmations, it doesn’t get more black and white than that. Are you pleased that the device is finally coming, or do you think it’s far too late for Apple to start shipping the white device? It may be worth holding off a few months until WWDC 2011 as we’re pretty sure Apple are going to introduce a white model alongside the iPhone 5 announcement.

apple have released firmwares a lot quicker then this. remember 2.XX? 2. was released then a week later 2.0.1 then 2 weeks later 2.0.2 they really did rush those firmware updates. this time i dont think they will. 4.2.1 seems to work nicely no issues at all from the 4.2.1 final gm.
