As noted over on the formula1.com website, the 2011 app will provide users with live timing data from every single session of the Grand Prix weekend, enabling them to track the progress of their favorite drivers including lap times, position and sector times.

The 2011 application also features a new push notification service, currently available on iOS with other mobile platforms following shortly, which alerts users when a Grand Prix session is about to start. It also provides them with session results, championship standings and a lot more.

Other live timing features in the Formula1.com 2011 app include text commentary, straight-line speeds and a track status indicator. Users will also be provided with circuit data such as wind speed and direction, current track and air temperatures, air pressure and humidity levels.

Users won’t just receive data for a current race either, as the application also features the 2011 season calendar, results for every session of the season and the timetables for every Grand Prix race. Are you a registered user of the formula1.com website?
