If you have been happily playing any of the previous Angry Birds games on your Android device we have some important news for you, Angry Birds Rio will not be available at the Android Market, instead you will have to head over to Amazon’s upcoming Appstore for Android.
This is a big deal for Amazon as Angry Birds Rio will undoubtedly be a popular game downloaded by millions, which means that millions of people will use Amazon’s answer to the Android Market.
Angry Birds Rio will launch with 60 levels, however it is thought that more levels will be added at a later date, we can also confirm that Android users will be able to buy ad-free versions of Angry Birds and Angry Birds Seasons at the Amazon Appstore.
Amazon’s Appstore is said to be launching “very soon”, when it does we will have to keep you posted, if you want you can follow the Amazon Appstore on Twitter here or like their Facebook page here for all of the latest news.
It will be interesting to see if the Amazon Appstore will become more popular than the Android Market, personally I have not had a bad experience with the Android Market, however I do find that there are a lot of rubbish apps which make things look cluttered, do you think that the Android Market needs a revamp?
