We have had many false starts before, but Apple could be about to finally release a white version of the iPhone 4. All the talk recently has been about not seeing a white iPhone until the release of the iPhone 5, but now we have rumors it will be out soon.
Neil Hughes over at AppleInsider is reporting that an analyst has said the device could start production this month, with shipments beginning by early April at the latest. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said the GSM version of the device will start shipping after Apple altered the “film material to solve the full-lamination problem”, which is claimed why the device was delayed.
With the recent Verizon version of the handset and the white iPhone 4, Kuo predicts Apple to sell a record eighteen million handsets in the first quarter of this year. The company managed to shift 16.2 million units during the holiday season of 2010.
Apple announced last week that the iPad 2 will be available in white from day one, which was met with laughter at the event. Many had thought that we would have to wait until the iPhone 5 release before a white iPhone would be available. A back cover made from aluminum has been rumored to be on the next iPhone which would solve alleged issues with the iPhones flash.
What do you think will we finally see the white iPhone 4 next month?
