We have a bit of interesting news now for those of you that enjoyed playing Signal Studios’ 2010 action-strategy title Toy Soldiers on the Xbox 360, as the developer has recently announced that they are currently working on a follow-up game called Toy Soldiers: Cold War.
According to Fred Dutton over at eurogamer.net, the Toy Soldiers: Cold War game is due to be officially unveiled at this year’s PAX East event in Boston. However, Signal Studios’ official website has revealed a few snippets of information, to give us an idea of what to expect.
The information provided on the official page states that the Cold War is started when ‘80s era action toys come alive and wage war. The Toy Soldiers: Cold War game features a combination of addictive action-strategy and intense first-person combat.
Toy Soldiers: Cold War not only promises to provide players with a new co-op mode, but it also brings new units, improved physics, a revamped AI and even more upgrades. The developer has even included a batch of new mini-games to break up the action.
Although Signal Studios hasn’t revealed a release date for the upcoming game yet, it has confirmed that the original Toy Soldiers game will be getting a PC release in late spring/early summer this year.
