An application which allows users to browse Craigslist as if they were reading a paper is available for the iPad. Lifelike Craig HD is currently on sale and is due to receive a major update which will take advantage of the iPad 2 and will be free for current users.
Released by Los Angeles based Lifelike Apps, the update will take full advantage of the iPad 2’s camera and have universal compatibility with the iPhone and iPod Touch.
The application allows users to browse through Craigslist as if they were looking through a classified newspaper. Users can filter and personalize the app, with bookmarked listings looking like they have been circled in red pen.
They can post their own classified ads from within the app, and manage multiple accounts. There is a Smart Location feature which automatically determines a user’s location. User’s previous searches are saved, and suggestions offered for future searches based on the history. Classified postings can be replied to or forwarded on to friends all within the app.
Lifelike Craig HD 1.6.1 is available worldwide on the App Store for $1.99/£1.19. iOS 3.2 or later required. After the update later this month the price will increase, and the update will be free for current users.
