Microsoft Kinect Price Starts to Drop

Last July we reported to you that the price of the Microsoft Kinect could start falling during the first quarter of this year. The predictions by industry experts at the time, are now coming true as the UK price for the device has fallen below the £100 mark.

CVG are reporting that there is no official price cut by Microsoft, but retailers themselves have been cutting prices for the device. ShopTo.com is offering the Kinect for the attractive £99 price, nearest to that is Amazon who will charge you £104.40.

For Xbox 360 owners who have yet to take the Kinect plunge now is a good time with this round of price cuts, and some great games promised for the device. Other retailers such as Game are selling the Kinect for £109.99, and Zavvi have it for £109.85. At present the likes of Argos and Curry’s are still selling the device for £129.99, but they will surely have to change that soon.

For Xbox 360 owners in the US Amazon are selling the Kinect for $141.99 plus $6.21 for shipping, and at Walmart it is priced at $149. Best Buy has it listed for $149.99. Would you consider getting the Kinect now with these price drops? Do you know of anywhere cheaper?
