We have some exciting news if you are a Sprint customer or planning to move to Sprint in the US, as it looks like we have a few details on what the company could be announcing at CTIA 2011, in which Sprint has a 2 and a half hour press conference scheduled.
Sprint was notably quiet at MWC 2011, but it looks like there was a good reason for that. Engadget is reporting that Sprint could be unveiling the Samsung Nexus S 4G, with it’s main feature obviously being 4G WiMAX support on Sprint. Although no further details are out yet, we’d presume that this is another Android 2.3 Gingerbread handset, but it could also feature the newest version of Touch Wiz 4.0 as well.
Aside from the Nexus S 4G, an ‘EVO 3D’ handset has also been mentioned, which could go up against the likes of the LG Optimus 2X which is the first smartphone to be released with a 3D camera allowing for 3D stills and video.
Last but not least, you should be unsurprised to hear rumors that Sprint are also planning to release a tablet. It may be called the EVO Flyer, and we’re guessing it will also come with 4G WiMAX support and hardware specs similar to that seen on current tablets such as the Motorola Xoom, iPad 2 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.
Treat this as a solid rumor until we’re able to bring you more details. Let us know which device you’re most excited about using. We’re more interested in hearing information on the EVO 3D.
