Old school gamers will be very pleased to hear news of an app for Android devices which turns their device into a handheld Nintendo 64 games console. All those childhood classics will be revived and made available on your cell for a price of $5.99 which is definately an investment worth making.
You can download the app by following this link. The N64oid is an emulator that has been designed for use on Android and will allow users to run most N64 games at a smooth speed with on-screen controls that have been made translucent so they won’t get in the way of the gameplay.
The controls are configurable for each game while some devices will allow the G sensor to be used as the analog stick. The settings are completely customisable so that the user can fine tune their gameplay, the ability to save games is also available which is pleasing.
The N64oid is far from being perfect at the moment, however developers have stated that the are actively working on improving the app below we have embedded a video showing someone playing Zelda on his Google Nexus S using the WiiMote, the app which allows you to connect your wiimote to your android device can be installed here.
