Many people would have loved to been able to get a white iPhone 4, but this doesn’t look likely now as we are only around three months from the next iPhone. Yesterday Apple gave us the new iPad 2 which will be available in white from day one. This new iPad could give some idea what Apple may do with the iPhone 5.
Tim Gideon from PCMAG is reporting that one of the rumors going around about why we never saw a white iPhone 4 was the flash reflecting to much light off the white back panel. This could have had an adverse affect on images having too much reflected light.
Now this is where the white iPad comes in, it has a brushed aluminum back the same as the black version. The aluminum back doesn’t reflect nowhere near as much light, and this will then not cause problems with overexposure.
This could mean a white iPhone 4 may be consigned to the history books of products that never made it. Apple could surprise us all and totally redesign the flash or the back panel though, but they may never tell us what the real reason for the non-appearance of the white iPhone 4 was, and it could be something else which stopped it.
What are your thoughts on this? Do you think a white iPhone 5 will have a similar back to the iPad?
