If you are planning to pick up the Samsung Galaxy S2 handset, you’re probably aware that there are a few pre-order prices that have already been listed online, although it seems the prices that have been listed are far from reasonable and higher than consumers would expect to pay for one.
We told you how Amazon Germany listed a 599 Euros price for the handset, but now we have another price for you to consider. Clove UK is a respectable online retailer and they have just put up a £590 price for the off-contract version of the handset, as reported from Phandroid.
Just for your reference, that converts to around $960 in US dollars, but the thing to remember here, is that this doesn’t mean that the handset will definitely be priced in the US based on that conversion. Consumers are often confused when it comes to UK and US smartphone price conversions, but we think that the actual price of the S2 off-contract in the US will be around $600.
That then means that the contact price is likely to be around $200-300 which is a lot more logical than a straight up conversion based on the UK pre-order price. You can view the listing online here to check it out yourself. What are your thoughts on the price?
What are your predictions for the US price of the handset, as at the moment – all we’ve had is pre-order prices for the UK version of the handset, and it seems to have created an unnecessary panic amongst consumers. We’ll update you when we have fresh details on this.
