Marvel Vs Capcom 3 (MvC3): New DLC Costumes and Preview

By Updated on

We have some good news for those of you who picked up a copy of Marvel Vs Capcom 3 on either the Xbox 360 or PS3, as we can confirm that the first batch of DLC is now available to download, and it comes in the form of six extra character outfits that you may be interested in.

Priced at $5 or 400 MS points from the respective PS Store and Live Marketplace, the DLC brings new outfits for Ryu, Dante, Thor, Captain America, Iron Man and Chris Redfield. The new costumes for Iron Man, Thor and Captain America are taken from the Marvel comic books, Ryu’s costume is his outfit from the very first Street Fighter game, Chris Redfield’s outfit is from the first Resident Evil game, and Dante borrows a ‘Sparda’ outfit which Devil May Cry fans will recognise.

The outfits are pretty cool actually and definitely add that freshness to the game. Hopefully more costumes are on the way, although we’re not sure how gamers will feel paying $5 everytime for a batch of 6 outfits – a reasonable deal for you or not?

If we had to choose, we’d say Iron Man and Chris Redfield look pretty badass in their new outfits, maybe you have a different opinion though. We’ve picked out an excellent video for you which gives you a preview of each outfit, thanks to YouTube user Myron085. Don’t forget to check out the latest news regarding DLC characters here.

$5 a complete rip off for those that purchased the game .. when will capcom give the fans some appreciation instead of attempting to rob them at every turn!

I have no problem paying for DLC as long as it has a direct effect of the way that the game operates, IE new characters, stages or features maybe a costume pack but it has to provide gear for the entire roster like maybe $ for new marvel suits and $5 for capcom attire but imo this is not worth it.

    I agree with Hardball.
