iPad 2 Jailbreak: iOS 4.3 Possibilties and Release Date ETA

By Updated on

With the announcement of the iPad 2, there is going to be a considerable amount of excitement within the jailbreak community, as all eyes are now on which team will be the first to successfully open the system and unlock the full potentials of the hardware.

The feat may take some time to achieve, since the iPad 2 will be running on iOS 4.3 – Apple’s latest edition of their mobile software which is yet to be jailbroken by the likes of the iPhone Dev-Team, Chronic Dev Team or the infamous Geohot.

However, it’s bound to happen sooner or later, so it’s worth thinking about the future possibilities that a jailbroken iPad 2 could offer to potential buyers. Unlike the first generation iPad, the iPad 2 will run on a dual-core 1Ghz A5 processor, which will allow developers to create more demanding apps, and also apps which contain much higher graphics quality than previously seen before.

Another factor is the inclusion of cameras for the iPad 2. Once the device is jailbroken, don’t be surprised to see a collection of cool apps, ones which make use of augmented reality appear all over Cydia.

What are your expectations of a jailbroken iPad 2? Which team do you predict will release the first iPad 2 jailbreak? – Wouldn’t it be special if Geohot takes time out from his court case against Sony to announce a new version of Limera1n for the iPad 2. Hopefully it wont be too long until the jailbreak happens, we’ll be updating you with progress along the way.
