A couple of days ago we brought you news about a UK release date for the Asus Eee Slate EP121 Windows 7 tablet, as well as the Android-based Eee Pad Transformer and Eee Pad Slider. However, we now have an update on the UK release of the Eee Pad Slider, along with information on pricing.

According to Chris Martin over on theinquirer.net website, the 10-inch Asus Eee Pad Slider tablet will not be launching in the UK in April as originally announced, but will now be arriving sometime in June. That happens to be around the same time that the 7-inch Asus Memo tablet is expected to launch.

In the meantime, the 10-inch Asus Eee Pad Transformer – which will run on Android 3.0 Honeycomb – is still expected to release in April as previously mentioned. Although Asus didn’t quote sterling prices, the company did mention a price of €399 for the Transformer (with 16GB storage).

The 32GB and 64GB models will have higher prices of up to €699. The basic 16GB version of the Asus Eee Pad Slider has been given a price tag of €499, while the 64GB model will cost you €799. If you’d rather buy the Memo, it will cost you €499 for a 16GB version and €699 for the 32GB model.

What do you think of the prices for the Asus Eee Pad Slider, Eee Pad Transformer and the Asus Memo? Are you thinking of buying any of them?

June's too late… shame – it looked a good peice of kit – but few people will wait around on the hope that something will be marketed – if they give us some firm details / assurances regarding release dates, prices and availability they might get a bit more buy-in – in the meantime, htc, samsung, moto etc will have something concrete and buy-able on the market
