If you are an avid Windows fan and have been unimpressed with the vast array of tablets which have been announced recently, you’ll be very pleased to hear rumors that Microsoft are planning to unleash a device this Summer which will run on Windows 8.
The information has surfaced over at Business Insider, and they have cited a figure inside Microsoft for the details. Apparently this Windows 8 tablet will be available in Summer, and will retail at somepoint during June.
We know what you’re thinking, this tablet may well go up against the iPad 2 possibly running iOS 5, but here’s the interesting part: We’re also hearing that Microsoft’s tablet will feature an ‘Apple-like interface’, according to the Microsoft insider. What this means exactly remains to be seen, but Apple’s interface is obviously second to none.
Would you relish the prospect of a tablet device running Windows 8 this Summer, or are you already set on picking up the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, iPad 2, Motorola Xoom or LG G-Slate. 2011 is definitely the year of the tablets so make your decisions carefully.
We’re certainly looking forward to the moment that Microsoft gives their first showing of Windows 8 to the public. Let us know your thoughts on this.
