Steve Jobs may appear at Apple iPad 2 media event

By Updated on

The news that Steve Jobs had to take medical leave once again was very concerning to us, say what you want about the guy, but it is horrible to think that he was ill once again. However, we might have some good news, as we recently learned that Steve Jobs may appear at the Apple iPad 2 media event tomorrow, March 2, 2011.

It was BoomTown writer, Kara Swisher who first suggested that the CEO might make an appearance, and it would certainly give the device and investors a boost. This is a very important release for Apple, as the new iPad will have things much tougher than it was for the original Apple tablet last year. So the thought of Jobs taking to the stage to deliver his keynote will certainly fire a warning shot to rivals.

We have to point out that this has not been made official yet, but even a five-minute appearance would be enough. It would be a shame for him to miss such an event; the thought of him showing to the world how they aim to combat the new Android tablet threat will certainly have us keeping an eye on those live blogs.

We still do not know how ill Steve Jobs is, but he has been spotted at a number of events in recent weeks, such as the meeting he had with Barack Obama. Another thing that has been playing with our mind; once Apple release the official iPad 2 video, will designer Jonathan Ive still appear in it?

The reason we say this is because he and Apple are at an impasse, and do not know which way to proceed, which we covered in a recent article. Do you think Steve Jobs will appear on stage tomorrow?
