If you’re a regular air traveler and you own an Apple iOS device such as the iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad, I think we have some news that could be of interest to you. The popular flight booking service Hipmunk has recently released its new Flight Search app onto the Apple App Store.
As Alan Henry from appscout.com recently reported, the Hipmunk Flight Search app enables users to search for and book flights based on flight times, prices, airlines and durations. All users have to do is tell Hipmunk where they’re going, from where and what time, and the app does the rest.
It even enables you to specify how many people you will be traveling with and what cabin class you would prefer to fly. The Hipmunk Flight Search app will then display all the available flight options in your area, along with how much each one will cost you.
If you allow the app to sort the flights automatically, it will sort them by “agony.” In other words, the most painful flights will be at the bottom. These flights are the ones with the longest duration, flights that travel in the early hours of the morning and the ones with the most stops etc.
You can then tap on any of the flights displayed to find out more information about them, such as the exact departure or landing times. As noted on the itunes.apple.com website, users can then book their chosen flight through their phone, email it to someone, or finish on their PC.
