By Updated on

We have some good news for those of you planning to queue up for a Nintendo 3DS upon launch, as we now have a confirmed list of launch titles that you’ll be able to play, and we’re pleased to say that you’ll have a lot of choice to decide upon.

You may have read previous articles from us which informed you about some of the launch titles for the Nintendo 3DS, however Nintendo never actually revealed the official list, until now.

As reported from Joystiq, there will be 18 games to play from launch – 2 of which are already pre-loaded on the handheld, and the other 16 available to buy. Three of those titles are developed by Nintendo themselves, and the others are from third-party publishers, with big names such as Capcom, EA, Sega and Konami.

Highlights include Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 3D, Ridge Racer 3D, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Shadow Wars and the ever popular Rayman 3D (who doesn’t love Rayman?).

All of these games and the list below will be available to buy on March 27th, when the console launches in US. Here’s the important part, games will generally be priced at $40 in the US, although some titles may vary. If you are lucky enough to import a 3DS from Japan, the handheld launches this Saturday, priced at ¥25,000.

Without further ado, here’s a complete list of launch titles for the Nintendo 3DS:

Built-in Games:

* Face Raiders
* AR Games

First-Party:

* Pilotwings Resort
* Steel Diver
* Nintendogs + Cats

Third-Party:

* Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition

Which games are you going to buy and which are you going to avoid? $40 is not a bad price for games, so we’re going to choose Street Fighter IV 3D, Pro Evolution, Ghost Recon and Rayman. That way, you can get your gaming fix on with a choice of fighting game, football, a shooter and a classic platformer.
