If you feel an urge to participate in a spot of herb growing (not that kind), then you may be interested to hear that the Apple App Store actually possesses a few excellent applications which can help you whilst you’re at home.

Aside from brightening the home up, growing herbs is an excellent way to make sure your cooking at home is complimented with the very freshest of herbs, providing you use the right chemicals and tools of course.

If you own an iOS device which a lot of you do now, you should firstly check out an app simply called ‘Grow Herbs’. The App has been developed by CleverMatrix LTD and currently costs $1.99 USD to download from the store. It contains details on many varieties of herbs, how to grow them effectively and also pictures of each herbs – even going as far as listing possible prices for different types of herbs.

If you are looking for a free alternative to growing herbs at home, you may want to try ‘Garden Produce USA Free’ which is another application by CleverMatrix LTD. This app lists information on how to grow different types of herbs, but it also includes information on fruit and vegtables as well.

We realise some of you may not want to browse the App Store in search of these apps, so we’ve also included a related website for you to look at. There is a simple five step guide over at eHow, which you’ll probably find useful if you’re a newcomer to growing herbs.
