3D technology has taken off in the past few years and has now moved into mobile technology, LG’s attempt to tackle the 3D cellphone market has begun at a high cost with their upcoming release, the LG Optimus 3D, the retailer Expansys has retailed the pre-order price at £514.99 ($835).
The Optimus 3D has been given a release date of April 25 which is still a little while off yet, however it gives us plenty of time to hear more from it in the future and marvel over the current features we already know about, perhaps the most exciting feature is its ability to record video in 3D thanks to its two cameras mounted on the rear of the phone.
Obviously the price seems steep, however Expansys currently sell the 16GB iPhone 4 contract-free for £649.99 and the Google Nexus S for £539.99, therefore if the pre-order price stays at £514.99 you are paying less for a more advanced smartphone.

Overall the phone looks very nice and we are excited to see how good the 3D capabilites are but we are a little set back by the price, hopefully carriers will greatly subsidize the hefty price tag when purchased as part of a 2-year deal. Will you pre-order the LG Optimus 3D?
