My Garden: Nintendo 3DS Game Cancelled by EA

By Updated on

We have a bit of disappointing news now for those of you that were looking forward to playing the My Garden game, as Electronic Arts has just announced during a press conference in New York that it has unfortunately canceled the Nintendo 3DS launch title.

According to a recent article over at gamerzines.com by Thomas Worthington, the garden-simulator was first announced at the Tokyo Game Show last September, and was planned to be one of the many launch titles for the much-anticipated Nintendo 3DS gaming system.

As Mike Jackson over at computerandvideogames.com (sourced from joystiq.com) recently reported, the My Garden game would have seen players creating their very own virtual utopias, as well as collecting plants and attracting different types of wildlife including birds and insects.

If the creatures weren’t doing very much, the players would be able to shake the Nintendo 3DS console to get them into action. As Jackson notes, the game’s cancellation probably hasn’t come as much of a surprise, considering it hasn’t really shown up on any launch day line-ups.

Early previews of the My Garden game didn’t look too promising anyway, with the gameplay being described as dull and the poorly-executed 3D being reported as hurting people’s eyes. Were you looking forward to playing the My Garden game?
