A new piece of software which will monitor and offer diagnostic data for hard drives has recently become available. Binary Fruit have released DiskRadar 1.0 for Mac OS X owners.
The utility has been designed to be used by the not so technical minded users amongst us, and includes hard disk fault prediction. It displays usage data and monitors the temperature to prevent overheating. There is also a simple disk cleanup function with 100 percent safe in-app file removal.
Other features included are the automatic highlighting of rarely used files, 64 bit multi-core optimization, and history based disk health evaluation. DiskRadar is compatible with all standard hard drives, external hard drives, CD/DVD drives and images, network drives, and fuse drives.
Feature highlights include; real-time user interface, One-touch, in-app disk cleanup, Scan as an administrator with root privileges, Disk failing (pre-fail) state, Real-time hard drive health status monitoring, and much more.

DiskRadar is available in three licenses starting at the introductory price of $12.95 (14% off). Mac OS X 10.6 or later required. To find out more click here.
