A great free social networking application where you can connect with people, who share the same hobbies and interests as yourself has just been updated. Groupie 2.2.3 is available for owners of the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad.

The application allows users to stay in touch with friends and also meet new ones. There is currently over 38,000 users and 9,000 groups. If you are a football fan there is a group for that, love video games there is a group for that.

There are many groups covering a variety of subjects, but if there isn’t a group you like it doesn’t take long to create one. Available worldwide Groupie is a great way to interact and meet new people.

Users can even meet people in your area which share the same interest. You can follow your favorite artist, and join or create a fan club. The app has received many good reviews from users since it was first released in October 2010.
