Motorola Droid Bionic: What We Know

By Updated on

With only a few weeks left before the release of Motorola’s ATRIX 4G, we thought it’d be a good time to list all we know about their Motorola Droid Bionic release, as well as what we know about the phone so far.

Investors have been told to expect a release around the end of the second quarter. This comes from a report that infoSync World did where they quoted Sanjay Jha, Motorola’s CEO. Their full article can be read here, where they also talk about what else you can expect from Motorola in the next few months.

So far we have been doing our best to keep you up to date with what we already know about the Motorola Droid Bionic. We’ve compared it against the ATRIX 4G, Thunderbolt and even the iPhone. We’ve given you the specs pros and cons of what you can expect from the smartphone and brought you news of a leaked price. What else do you want to know?

All this just adds to the build up to the release and for those who are already planning on getting one this news is just a tease without an official release date. Unfortunately this is all we know at this time as the phone is still listed as coming soon. You can see for yourself by clicking here, where you will also find a list of its key features. Why not sign up with Motorola here and be the first to know about the launch of their new products including the Droid Bionic.

Will you be getting a Droid Bionic? Let us know what you think from what you know so far.

Not if they wait to release this at the end of the 2nd quarter. Apple just said the iPhone 5 will be here in early June. Looks like that is my next phone.

the end of the 2nd quarter is the end of june. iphone is rumored as early june. what a difference a couple weeks can make…

Jeff, I think it's kind of hard (if not just premature) not having all the information on both phones to say what you said. Unless you’re an IPhone (APPLE) bigot.

I would say from what is known to date that Motorola is finally coming out with some great phones. IPhone was the one that started all and I THINK the next IPhone(5) should be a good phone based on what Apple has done but that is not a guaranty. The IPhone that will go on the Verizon Network will be kind of behind the times and personally I wouldn’t want to get into a two year contract on it. Android is really making a run as a phone OS. I think the competition is good for the consumer as it always is.

I like the features of the Bionic, despite the 720mp camera. The battery life is sufficient and the screen is really cool! The price point is more reasonable for most people including myself. I don’t want to pay $500 for my phone unless I can afford to shell out $2500 for a computer. (a phone that costs more than my computer is pathetic) I just want to be able to watch TV Everywhere still like I do on my iPhone without any “glitches” because when I got my DISH Network employee account I knew the best part was watching my DVR recordings or live TV when I want to. I just don’t have enough time to watch everything at home any more.
