When getting a puppy you cannot think about just how cute it is while small, they take a lot of looking after, which some people seem to forget. I cannot tell you how many times I have been round to people’s houses with a dog where it seems as if they are in control. You have to teach a puppy from the start that you are the master in the house, so knowing how to train them from an early age is so important.
I do not know much about such things, but I have watched countless programs on TV telling you that when training dogs you have to reward them – bit like being married then. It is no secret that the iPhone has revolutionized our lives, as there are a number of apps on iTunes that can help, and puppy training is just one of them.
One app that looks to be worth downloading is called “A Puppy Training Tips” and you will be pleased to know that this is free. This app points out what I mentioned earlier about rewarding your dog when they do as they were told during training – see watching TV does pay. There are so many things that you need to show your dog, but spending this time in the early stages will reward you as the dog grows up.
The other app is “Dog Training Guide – An expert guide to training your puppy or dog”. This one is not free, as it costs $2.99 but has been written by a Dog Trainer. There are so many commands that your dog will respond to, how you get that message across depends on how committed you are. Just remember that this takes time and patience.
These are just two apps, but there are so many others that you could try. Have you used an app in the past to train your puppy, or did you try another method?
