We all know how important it is to try and find the best deal on a product when you’re out and about shopping, but sometimes you don’t necessarily want to visit loads of different stores to compare prices. Well now you won’t have to with the recently released Google Shopper app for iPhone.
As Ben Parr over at mashable.com recently reported, the Google Shopper app – which originally launched for the Android operating system last year – comes complete with image, voice and local search, and can find products based on either voice, text or barcode recognition.
The app will then provide users with a price comparison. For example, if you search for a product such as “HP printer,” a list of different printer types will then be displayed. You’ll also be given a list of nearby stores in which you can purchase the said item and a rating based on user reviews.
If you choose the Local Search option, Google will then display whether or not the specific item is available in each of the nearby stores. As noted on the itunes.apple.com website, the app will even provide you with specifications and videos for the items you are searching for.
The Google Shopper app is free to download from the Apple App Store now, but does require Apple iOS 4.0 or later. Will you be downloading the Google Shopper app?
