Playable COD Modern Warfare 3: Real or Not?

By Tina Chubb - Jan 15, 2011

We’ve been hearing rumors about the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 game being in development for quite some time now, although we still haven’t received any confirmation of this. However, there now appears to be a bit more evidence of its existence.

According to Daniel Bennifer over at, a gamer – by the name of “egonadrian” – has recently claimed that the next installment in the COD: Modern Warfare series is currently in the alpha testing stage. An image has appeared online, which supposedly shows him playing the game.

Without having any real confirmation from Activision, many will just take this with a pinch of salt. The Modern Warfare 3 title was previously rumored to be in development with Infinity Ward, but was said to have been delayed due to the legal issues that the studio were facing.

As Ben Dutka over at reports, it now seems that Activision has re-staffed and is most likely working on the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 game. Do you think the latest news is true and the COD: MW3 game is really playable?
