When the much-anticipated Skyfire 2.0 web browser for the Apple iPhone arrived last month, it soon became the top grossing app on the Apple App Store. In fact, the app became so popular, that Skyfire’s servers found it difficult to keep up with the demand.
We now have some fantastic news for those of you who own an Apple iPad, as according to a recent article by Taimur Asad over at redmondpie.com, the Skyfire iPad app has just been released onto the iTunes App Store, and should be available to download now.
The Skyfire web browser – which allows users to watch Flash videos on their iOS tablet device – features an all-new ‘Skybar’ toolbar that provides you with one-click access to video and other related content, as well as standard browser elements such as tabs and bookmarks.
Skyfire for iPad also includes some great social networking integration features such as a unique Twitter and Facebook ‘Quickview,’ which enables you to see your feeds and wall with just one click and the ability to “Like” any page you visit on the Internet.
There’s even a private browsing option, which allows you to browse online without leaving any cookies or history behind. You can read more about the Skyfire for iPad app via itunes.apple.com. Are you pleased to see the arrival of Skyfire for the iPad?
