It’s been rather frustrating for those gamers who have been waiting for the arrival of the Portal 2 title, as the upcoming action/puzzle game has been delayed a couple of times. However, there is good news in store now, as the game has finally been given an official release date.
According to a recent article over at computerandvideogames.com, Portal 2 – which is being published by EA Partners – will be arriving in stores on April 21st, 2011 and will be available for the PlayStation 3, Mac, Microsoft Windows and the Xbox 360.
Doug Lombardi, Valve’s vice president of marketing, says that the Portal 2 game is the most innovative title in the developer’s history. He also stated that the game will arrive with a first-class launch campaign. Portal 2 was in fact named the most anticipated game of 2011 at this year’s VGAs.
As an article at gamasutra.com reports, Portal 2 was originally meant to be released this year, but was then pushed back until the early part of 2011. Then back in November, fans were told again that they would have to wait just a couple of months more until April.
