Attention all iPhone and iPod Touch users, there is a new app on the scene that interlinks all of your favourite social media networks such as LinkedIn, Twitter, MySpace and Facebook. These are the giants of the world that is, social networking.

The new app ‘Friends’ is a mashup of all of these social networks, it creates the link between your contact address book and the names in the social networking site. It then allows you to view for a single contact all of their connected sites down the right hand side as shown in the example below.

The application was developed by a company called tapivate, you can view their official site here, you can also see a couple of reviewers comments on the appshopper website by clicking here. One way to see this app is like a customer hub. If you think about it in database terms the contact list would be the primary key between all of these networks and it is great that apps like this tap into it.

Something that I think is pretty good with this app is you can view all of the networks individually or all together, it gives you the feeling that you are in control. This could be an app with a lot of potential, it is fantastic to pull all of these networks together.

Onto the important detail, how much is it? In the US you can get it for $1.99, in the UK it comes in at £1.19. If you want to download this app then jump over to iTunes by clicking here. If you still aren’t convinced then head to the bottom of the article and watch a demo video courtesy of TechCrunch.
