We’ve been bringing our readers quite a bit of news about the upcoming Resistance 3 game over the past few weeks, including information on the 2-player co-op mode and a confirmed release date. Now it appears that Insomniac Games and Sony have decided to reveal a few more details.
According to a recent article by Matt Furtado over at examiner.com, the developer and the publisher have decided to reveal a few more details about their upcoming title, giving fans a little more insight into its story and detailing the key features of the 2011 release.
It looks like the series is about to get a whole lot better with Resistance 3, as the developer has now added the upgradable weapons feature. The game’s single player mode is set 4 years after the conclusion of Resistance 2, and will take place all across the US from Haven, Oklahoma to New York City.
Resistance 3 sees the welcome return of classic weapons such as the Auger and the Bullseye, but with increased fire power thanks to the new weapon upgrade system. With Insomniac’s new awareness and cinematic traversal technology, players will be faced with smarter, more agile Chimeran enemies.
