Spike TV’s 2010 Video Game Awards ceremony took place this past Saturday and those of you who took the time to watch it, will know that BioWare’s upcoming Mass Effect 3 game was just one of the 13 titles that were revealed during the event.

Although we don’t have a specific release date for Mass Effect 3 at this stage, we do know that the game – which as previously mentioned will be available for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 – has been given a release window of “Holiday 2011.”

After watching the trailer that aired during the VGAs, fans are no doubt looking forward to the upcoming release and may be wondering what it is like compared to its predecessors. An article by Raymond at gogaminggiant.com provides a list of some people’s expectations.

One of the first things mentioned on the list is armor upgrades, and how it would be nice to see the armor upgrading system return. Another expectation listed is the bringing back of Wrex from Mass Effect 1, considering he was missing from the second game in the series.

The fifth expectation listed is to have more diverse missions and worlds. Although there was a definite improvement in the variation of missions on Mass Effect 2, Raymond notes that it would be nice for ME3’s worlds to be more expansive and its missions more in-depth.
