Back in July we brought you an article on the upcoming Thor: God of Thunder video game, with the very first details and a teaser trailer. We now have more news to bring all you Thor fans out there, as the game has now received a confirmed release date and another trailer.
According to a recent article over at computerandvideogames.com, Sega announced the game’s release date during last night’s VGA 2010 ceremony, which took place in Los Angeles. The game will be released on May 3rd, 2011 and will be available for the Nintendo Wii, DS, PSP, Xbox 360 and PS3.

The third-person action/adventure game – which is co-written by Matt Fraction – is being developed by Sega. Rob Keyes over at gamerant.com claims that video game-based movies and movie-based video games usually aren’t that good, but that may not be the case with Thor: God of Thunder.
However, the Thor video game is said to be vastly different from the upcoming movie (which hits movie theaters a few days after on May 6th, 2011), in the fact that it takes place entirely in Asgard. Watch the trailer below this post and let us know what you think.
Do you think the Thor: God of Thunder game will be a success?
