Windows Phone 7: Copy and Paste Update – Preview Video

If you currently own one of the various launch Windows Phone 7 devices, you’re probably still surprised at the fact that there is no copy and paste feature on handsets at the moment.
The good news though, is that the first planned software update for Windows Phone 7 will add support for copy and paste and we now have a preview video of the feature for you to take a look at.
It seems rather crazy that such a simple feature didn’t make it into the launch WP7 handsets, but at least Microsoft has included it in the very first update. The process is pretty simple, as you’ll just need to click on a particular line of text to activate it. You’ll then be greeted with the option of either expanding the arrows to copy a complete line of text, or just copy a single word to the handset’s clipboard by clicking the icon above.
As you can see in the video, you can then use the copied text when forwarding an email to other people. Nothing fancy here from Microsoft, and it doesn’t really have to be. Check out the video below for yourself and let us know what you think of it.

What are your thoughts on the copy and paste interface on Windows Phone 7? Do you think it is good enough, or better on other platforms?
