Each year the Leonid meteor shower wows thousands, if not millions of star gazers worldwide, however people seem to be confused as to when is the best time to view the shower.
If you would like to find out when you should be watching out for the shower you should check out the Leonid Meteor Shower Facebook page, also check out this link which consists of all of the latest Leonid Meteor Shower 2010 related tweets.
To be honest with you I am not really into astronomy, therefore I am not too clued up on the matter, however from what I can see most people suggest that if the skies are clear in your area you should be able to catch the show “from the moment the moon sits and between 5:15 a.m UT” (see here).
In the past the Leonid meteor shower has been regarded as one of the best meteor showers the universe puts on, back in 2002 it even reached meteor storm status, which was a real treat for astronomers, let’s just hope that the skies stay clear tonight.
With social media sites more popular in 2010 than ever before, how will you use Twitter or Facebook to share information on the Leonid Meteor shower? The last few events saw Twitter used for sharing images during the meteor shower, will you be doing this?
