iTunes Announcement: Not iOS 4.2 / Verizon iPhone Release

By Updated on

I do find it funny how a number of websites believe that the big iTunes announcement later today will be about iOS 4.2 and the Verizon iPhone. Forgive me if I am wrong, but both of these are nothing to do with iTunes. Yes I know that you have to connect your device to them to update the iOS software, but that’s about it.

You can clearly see on the screen shot below, which we got from Apple.com that it will be a day that we do not forget, but what could it be. The likes of WSJ journal believe that the big announcement will be The Beatles coming to iTunes, but I still do not believe that this would be a day that we never forget.

We recently discussed that iTunes Cloud could be the big announcement or song previews going from 30 seconds to 90 seconds. If I were a betting man I would put my money on Cloud – but is iTunes ready, or us come to that matter?

It is all very well having iTunes Cloud, but with data limits now being set by most carriers, streaming music would certainly take a huge chunk out of your monthly allowance. So we only have just over three hours to wait, so what could it be?

Not to be rude, but please re-read articles before posting them. It's hard to read stuff like this.

@Colin it's not surprising given that he's already published about 10 articles before 10AM. What kind of quality do you think you can get at that speed?
